Shared Spaces
A shared workspace for the team's infrastructure work.
Shared Spaces hold members, groups (Engineers, Helpdesk, Auditors), and folder-level ACLs with read / write / admin. Pro gets one Shared Space; Team gets up to 25; Enterprise is unlimited. Switch Spaces with a single click — everyone on the team sees the same connections, docs, IPAM, and audit history.
Team documentation
Runbooks, notes, and incident reports as a team artifact.
Documentation lives in the Space, with version history (90 days on Team, unlimited on Enterprise) and kind-aware templates for runbooks, notes, IPAM subnets, and incident reports. PDF export and password-gated public share links for handing artifacts to leadership or auditors.
Credentials
Shared credentials without the spreadsheet.
Per-Space credential vault that resolves on connect. No copy-paste between tools, no shared password document. Pro envelope-encrypts Personal credentials under a per-user CMK and syncs them across every machine. Team and Enterprise add per-Space CMKs so Shared Space credentials are decryptable only by Space members, plus Group-scoped credentials for narrower access.
Audit trail
A per-Space record of who did what.
Every credential access, document edit, command run, HTTP request, database query, and Magellan invocation is logged with actor / action / target / timestamp. Team and Enterprise plans export audit history as CSV, filtered by actor / action / target — useful for compliance reviews and contractual obligations.
Remote access
SSH, RDP, VNC, serial, AWS SSM in the team's window.
Connections are saved on the Space, not in a private laptop config. New team members open the Space and pick up the saved access immediately, with credentials resolved from the vault. No more onboarding spreadsheets.
Diagnostics
A common toolkit for incident response.
30+ network diagnostics, multi-engine database inspector, HTTP / GraphQL / Realtime client, and a real terminal — same workspace for every team member. Stop chasing tribal knowledge about which engineer has which tool installed.
Magellan
AI assistance, scoped to your Space.
Magellan operates inside the active Space. Attach context from any ShellYard tool — terminal, HTTP response, query result, packet capture — and the team's AI assistant explains what happened, recommends next steps, or drafts documentation. BYO provider key (Anthropic / OpenAI / Gemini / Ollama).
Onboarding and handoff
New hires inherit the workspace.
When a new team member joins, they open the Space and inherit the connections, credentials (per ACL), docs, IPAM, and the searchable archive of runbooks and incident reports. The senior engineers stop being the documentation.
