- What does ShellYard replace?
- ShellYard unifies workflows that often live in separate tools: terminal clients, HTTP/API clients, database inspectors, network diagnostics, documentation/IPAM systems, credential vaults, and AI browser tabs. Specialist tools may still be better for deep niche workflows, but ShellYard keeps the day-to-day operations loop in one Space-scoped workspace.
- Can I import from Postman?
- Yes. ShellYard imports Postman v2.1 collections, plus OpenAPI 3.x specs, cURL commands, and HAR files. All four import paths are available on Pro and above.
- Can I import from IT Glue or Hudu?
- Yes. Team and Enterprise plans include IT Glue and Hudu importers for Documents and IPAM.
- Why bring your own AI key?
- Many engineering and compliance environments require AI requests to flow through accounts they control. ShellYard supports bring-your-own Anthropic, OpenAI, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint (Ollama, LM Studio, OpenRouter) so teams can choose their provider and policy. We do not meter, mark up, or proxy AI usage.
- What is a Space?
- A Space is an isolation boundary for operational work. Spaces separate connections, credentials, documents, HTTP collections, database connections, audit logs, and Magellan context. They are designed for MSP client separation and are useful for any team that needs clean boundaries.
- What about discounts?
- Annual billing saves 17%. Enterprise volume discounts are available for larger annual contracts — email sales@shellyard.com with your scope.
- Is there a free trial of Pro or Team?
- 14-day free trial on both Pro and Team — full feature access. A credit card is required to start the trial; cancel before day 14 and you are not charged.
- What's the Team minimum?
- 3 seats. Enterprise has a custom minimum and is invoice-billed on annual commit.
- Do I need a credit card to start?
- No. Free is a real evaluation tier — every connection type, every network tool, the SQLite Data Inspector, and Magellan AI work on Free. Just download and sign in.
- Can AI run commands automatically?
- No. Magellan is human-approved. It can explain output, suggest next steps, and draft commands — but operators stay in control before anything runs.
- How do I get help?
- Free uses GitHub issues. Pro and Team get business-hours email at support@shellyard.com. Enterprise customers get priority email support during their commit window.
